Second progress meeting of the HYPOSO project

HYPOSO - participants of the second progress meeting

On 6 and 7 October 2020, the HYPOSO consortium gathered for a third time to update each other on the progresses made in their work and to discuss upcoming tasks and challenges.
One highlight of the meeting was the status quo demonstration of the HYPOSO Map, an online tool, showing hydropower related information and mapping existing and potential hydropower sites in the HYPOSO target countries.
The project partners from the HYPOSO target countries Bolivia, Colombia and Ecuador in Latin America, and Cameroon and Uganda in Africa, presented
Another major step that was presented, was the selection of the sites in Cameroon and Uganda, for which will business case studies will be elaborated. The prevailing circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic pose a challenge for the on-site work which is needed for proper studies, and was thus discussed, as in many other projects.   
Insights in the results of HYPOSO will be given soon, on 27 October 2020. The HYPOSO project has a dedicated session during HYDRO 2020 ( https://www.hydropower-dams.com/hydro-2020/ ), which will also be an online event this year. We look forward to share and discuss the HYPOSO project with interested colleagues.
